Origins is a BSc course in Danish (Altings Oprindelse) taught by leading researchers from Globe Institute and the Natural History Museum.

The class runs as flipped class room with online lectures on Coursera.org with in-class exercises. The researcher pose real-world scientific challenges to the students from which students learn “how we know” stuff.

The teacher’s have published a textbook called Origins of All Things that covers most (but not all) subjects taught in the course.

The course is available to all BSc students at SCIENCE and SUND at University of Copenhagen – and is recommended for biology and geology students (albeit only listed as restricted elective in the former education). The course runs in block 2 (Nov-Jan).
